If you think the fluid is contaminated, you can drain the pump and what you can from the box. Then refill and put front end on jack stands with tires lifted off the ground. Cycle the steering full left then full right about 10 times to bleed the system. This may take more turns. Check the fluid to make sure there is no bubbles foaming at the top. If so let it sit for a while and repeat the process.
