Power steering pump

Having a hell of a time removing this bolt in order to mount the pump and bracket to the block...
Any tips? Doesn’t help this chrome thing is super slippery... ugh
I have no vice to hold it

Hmm, that makes it tougher. You might have to recruit a helper to hold it while you wrench.

I “think” it’s 1/2” npt

Yep. Npt stands for National Pipe thread. Hence the term “pipe plug”.

Make sure you put some thread sealant on it.

Don't bend the can on the pump, ie NO vice. You need a thin wall socket that fits that bolt well.

I’m going to electric fans. So no clutch or anything will be used...

i hope a set at Ace would be cheaper than this

yes they should, even lowes crappy hardware section will have it.

Since you have no vice, for the water pump plug I'd suggest installing it after the pump is bolted to the block. Being pipe thread it'll get tight before it's actually tight and it'd a pita to hold and tighten by yourself.
