Power Steering Steering Gear Box Factory Hardware

82 K5 Blazer 4x4 factory suspension, etc.

I just pulled my power steering gear box off to replace it and I'm curious if anyone knows if the factory mounting hardware included 4 roughly 1 inch oal spacers on the mounting bolts, I have them on mine & it does not make sense to me why they would use them.

longer bolt = better clamping force .

you will also note the t-case crossmember to frame has them also .
