so i installed agr's power steering pump and box. and i thought that it would be super easy turn and all but i'm having some trouble. when i'm moving down the road it seems to work ok , but when i'm stopped on tar and i go to turn the wheel and it's darn near impossiable, the belts also chirp (the belts are new and good and tight). did agr send me a bum pump? and is there any test i can do to verify this? or is it something else that i'm not seeing?

I think you may just have to get used to revving the engine to turn those big tires while you are sitting still. It takes a lot of force. It is also very hard on the frame and steering linkage, so I would avoid trying to turn the tires when you are not moving.

I can turn my 36x12.5 TSL's w/ my pinky when the truck is stoped. I have all stock stuff that leaks all over the place. I would call up AGR to see what they will do for you.

I would have to agree with Dan on this one. Something is not right. I would call AGR and see if they are any help. You could also PM Boss on the main board and get his opinions on it. I know he has delt quite a bit with AGR. Good Luck.

Yup my stock pump/box will turn my 35s just fine while stoped. Mabie you still have air bubbles in the system?
Good Luck

I changed my hoses and I had to bleed it alot to get all the bubbles out. Jack up the front end so the tires are off the ground and turn the wheels lock to lock slowy a couple times, check the fluid, repeat. Do it for a while and try driving it agian.

Ya that is how I did it! I would let it sit (motor off) for quite a while the repeat the process until the bubles are no more...
Good Luck

I agree that something is wrong. your steering should be fairly easy. I put an autozone steering pump on and I can steer with my pinkie finger, sitting still, at idle, on concrete. I have 35" 12.50's with duel stabilizer shocks.

Ditto POFF on bleeding the heck out of the box. I helped a friend install an AGR box and pump and we had his front end up in the air with the motor running, bleeding it for about 12 minutes before we got the thing to work right. We had to stop three or four times to refill the reservoir.
