Power Tailgate Window Key Switch

#9 is just the key tumbler, 10 is the electric portion so depends on which part you're having issues with. If it were me i'd just order both and replace both but keep the others as "emergency replacements".

Sounds good.

I'm guessing i can steal the lock pins and rekey myself.

Thanks!

Whoa, the key part is $120.

Don't need that part i don't think. Normally i dont' cheap out on stuff like that, for but that price, i'll see what i can do.

Check the GM dealer as that key tumbler was used in MANY vehicles and probably still available and cheaper.

I have to turn the key ALLL the way, hold, and kinda pull down on it and wiggle it around to get it to work.

Sounds like the contacts inside aren't making a good connection. If they're spring loaded contacts then they may have lost their spring and need to be re-bent or they have corrosion/carbon buildup. I'd try soaking it in contact cleaner first to see if that helps. If that doesn't work then I'm pretty sure there should be a way to disassemble it to get at the contact to see what's going on. If you use the contact cleaner you'll need to spray some graphite lube inside the keyway so the tumblers move easily.

have the same issue it works when it wants to just get the electrics and move on
I am changing to manual one day
