Ok, I did the search and came up with some good info. From what I understand you need 2 relays, one for motor to run up, one to run down.

Now my dilemma, my Sub has all new window motors, regulators and switches and while it is alot better than it used to be, its still not what it should be. I have greased and cleaned connections and blah blah blah, still getting voltage drop especially when the Sub is not running. Now for my question does EVERY single switch need a 2 relays according to the windows they serve? Like does the driveside window need 8? Then 2 for every other door, bringing up a grand total of 14 relays.

Actually, its 28 relays....Redundancy, you know......

No, seriously, you should only need two per window. One relay for up, and one for down.
They can be triggered by as many switches as you want.

You could get by with just one relay per door. They make double throw relays, but they are not common and probably cost more than two singles.

If you have that many switches, you might consider using a triple contact relay to let up or down be the master.
That way, one relay would break the control power for the other. This would prevent two people trying to control the same window in opposite directions and firing both relays at the same time.

Ya think they would fit under the stock door panels? Or a custom box mount thing for them under the dash?

On a side note, since your more of an electrical wizard than I am, how well do these relays do in the environment? Like for instance in the engine compartment

They should fit in the door I would think They are pretty small.
And you want them close to the motor anyway.

As for any standing up to the engine environment, you already have several under there now, and they do just fine.

There should be several writeups here with schematics and in some cases probably pictures of an install.
It has been done many times before.
