Both passenger and driver side windows roll down at Grandma speed and roll up at Great Great Grandma speed. Has anyone had this problem?

thanks

My passenger side is slower too . But faster with the pass switch versus the drivers switch .

Washed the truck off , window got faster . So lube does help .

Most of my problem is just the connection on the drivers side , I did cut the harness and use bullets so I can remove the doors when I want . That just gave another connection to cause resistance and get dirty .

You may have to maually go in there and clean some gunk out. Some of the felt on mine sloughed off and gummed up the track, go in there with a stick or screwdriver. Just be easy on it.

I am not worried about it yet . It goes up . I plan on doing it when I get around to changing locks . I broke a key off in the passenger side ........2 years ago :wink1:

Mine went much faster after replacing the motor and greasing the tracks. I guess it depends on what's making them slow - wires, gunk, bad motor etc.

Yeah, mine were faster after I lubed everything and cleaned the tracks but it's still slow compared to most vehicles with power windows. I think it's just the way it is. :D

Yeah, these windows were slow when they were new. Like everyone said, you can do some things to make it a little better but it's never going to be fast.

I wish they moved like my 97 K1500 or my wifes 01 tahoe does.. those don't mess around. Come to think of it.. has anyone ever tried to see if the newer motors would work? Probably a totally different set up .. but it would be nice to find a way to use the newer motors.

I read once (here) way back that there was a Grand Am motor that would work and it was faster, I never saw a year mentioned though.

Cool :thumb:

I bet there are more than a few vehicles out there that share a design, that's the same, or close, to our power window motor's.
