My window switch for my driver door is going bad (89 GMC Jimmy). Do I have to pull the door panel to replace it or does it just pop out the front?

It will break if you do that. I would take the door panel off. It has clips that need to be squeezed to push it out.

Ok. I wasn't sure. So once I get to it, is it simply unplug the old one and plug in the new one, or do I have to splice wires or something?

It will unplug, be carefull and use a flat screw driver to pry it apart if its tough. Might want to disconnect the negative wire from the battery terminal just to be safe especially if you are disconnecting the power lock one as well since its always live (even when the truck is off).

Ok, thanks for the help! The new switch should be on it's way from LMC today. Now I know what I'm getting into.

NAPA carries them in stock too. I have seen them at a few stores. Just an FYI to anyone else...

IF I was lucky enough to find one at a junkyard around here, it'd probably be as worn out as the ones I've got! Lol
