iwsh i woulda saved the doors from the original JR. i hate power windows. i can;t imagine they are diff.hell my 86 keys work in a 79 trans-am?

For all intensive purposes, the parts are the same. Go for it. They will bolt up and work fine.

don't know if it makes any difference but somewhere in there GM switched from a thick window to a thinner window. :dunno: I'm guessing early-mid 80's.

hey maybe thats why i have to pull the drivers side window by hand. its outta the track.POS oh well, no doors next year. till it gets cold anyway.:haha:

yeah, if can leave the glass in and just swap regulators, even if they need a couple different boltholes, i wont mind.. i'll go manual door locks too...

well, i got a free bay in the garage now, so i'll throw em on some sawhorses and see whats what...

It's a piece of cake, bolts right in. Start with the windows up and tape the glass to the door frame and you wont be fighting the glass while your pulling out the regulator.

i swapped from pwr. to manual and it only took about 11/2 hors for one side(most of which was spent dealing with kid issues)the manual set-up came from an '87 k5 to an '84 truck w/89 sub.doors.i pulled everything from the '87(glass,locks, regs)and also the track because the '89 burb glass was 1/8in. thick compared to the older 1/4in.thick and the window wouldn't go up all the way.removal is easiest with an angle grinder:D on the pwr window reg.(mine were totally shot).the biggest PITA was getting the glass back on the track.but it will bolt up and you won't regret it.good luck and have fun.
