Hello, I am having a problem with my power windows. I just replaced both motors and all the weather stripping. I had great success with the drivers side, the passenger side will only go up half way before I have to help it. I've heard to use a light silicone spray on the felt to assist but that just doesn't seem right to me. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.

New weather stripping has "break in" a little bit. I did new stripping on the doors and rear hatch, and I used some silicone as at first there was a lot of reluctance. Over time the windows started moving up and down a lot easier. I didn't replace window motors though, since despite being 30+ years old, they still work fine.

My rear window only goes down 1/4 of the way and then starts to "click-click-click" no idea whats that is about.

Need to rip the door panel off and get at it.

Ill have to spray them this week and see how it goes. Hope I don't have a bad new motor.....

Sorry I misread your post. I took everything out when I replaced the motor. If your talking about the track that has the single bolt holding it on then yes.

Try loosening that bolt just enough to allow movement and see if it helps. Might need a slight adjustment.

Try the silicone first

we are talking about the single bolt to the rear of the door? I may just do the relay mod and see if that helps with the Teflon spray that I found, supposedly it is dirt resistant and dries fairly quick.
