Well crap. The braided hose fuel lines that attach to my sending unit broke. They were rusted to hell. Anyone know who sells these? The gm dealer said they are disconnected. I only need them up to the fuel filter. I replaced from there up already.

It's TBI. It's not a super high pressure. You can cut the end off the sender and make bubble flares with a flare tool. then replace the braided line with rubber FUEL INJECTION hose available at the parts store. Use 2 hose clamps at each end of the hose and don't overtighten them. You can make up a similar hard line to go to the fuel filter also. Or just cut the end and bubble flare the original if it's still good.

This will work for the feed, return and vapor lines.

I had to use this method on the steel braided section of line that runs up along the firewall to the back of the TBI unit on the feed line. Dealer told me that the line was discontinued, no parts houses had them either so I just did like 496truck said and it's held up for 2 months now.

I think parts store sell "repair" tubes to fix the steel lines where they always rot at the sending unit and fuel filter--perhaps those can be used to advantage in this situation also??..most of them use brass compression unions to join the tubing..
