what combo, should i run with a 6.2 tourbo

yeah but the 400 was stock

why would I pump 2000 bucks into something that still needs to be build by someone good to hold up.

i have seen lots of "race" built trannys smoked only after a few runs build by a "racing" shop.

if i had that cash i would go 4500 or hell if were fantasizing i could go nv5600.

why you pimping this anyway? your busness?

Now my this 700 (BTO) shifts the way it should (the previous one was a rebuilt peice of crap). Guess I'm getting old.....:doah:

I gotta give it up for BTO. Put one in a buddys car and that thing works great. I even visited the shop and picked it up. I thought the line about how they test all the trannys in a car was bs...uh that turned out to be true. They have several that they test them in. And the test ride I got was not gentle;)

On the question as why a th400 sucks power. In 1st gear it turns the 2nd gear clutch hub in the opposite direction of engine rotation. And that damm thing weighs like 20 pounds.....

In a dream world I'd do a NV4500 in Big Ugly ala Rene's K5. However reality says if I'm to get OD it'll likely be a TH700R4. A well built 700 will more than stand up to anything a 6.2L can do to it.
 
I'll agree with AMJBlazer but since the question was posted over a year ago hopefully the decision has already been made:haha::haha:
 
well.......

still waiting for a nice 465/205 to come out of the wood work, so....

oh and had to pull the trcuk off the road and am running another sub right now, till i deside to build the old frame and swap a body, or build off this 1/2ton that is my DD
