Plan to bead blast and paint some older Eagle alloy wheels.
Want to use flat black paint as they will be going on a CUCV M1008 pickup, and want to be able to touch them up easily as needed.
Searched, but could only find references to painting steel wheels.
Anything special I need to do for alloy?
Would certain types of blast media be better for alloy?
Primer and paint suggestions?

Thanks

I did the same thing on my '05 stock alloys. I used an etching wheel cleaner, rinsed, repeated 2 or 3 times to get the clear coat off and it left a nice rough texture fo rthe paint to adhere to. I also used Rustoleum black oven paint to help with brake heat. It's been on for about a year and a half and still looks killer. My buddy had his H2 wheels sanblasted and powdercoated and it looks like crap after 6 months:rolleyes:.

Did a set of rims on an old tacoma. Scuffed up with some ~400 grit sand paper, hit with self etching primer, and used duplicolor wheel paint. Worked awesome, and that's how I'd do it again.
