Prepare to be pissed

The hilarious part about the current hybrid cars, is there are still several non-hybrid cars on the market (only1 I think in the US) that BEAT them is gas mileage. The Diesel jetta is rated close to 50mpg. With that out there, who in their right mind is going to buy a two seat hybrid junker that will need $$$$$$ in electrical maint. every year?

I stole yours and modified it a bit... I hope you don't mind.

here's my post for them:

I want to start by saying that your argument regarding SUV drivers funding terrorism is no where near reasonable or even logical. Saying that driving a vehicle that gets low gas milege is supporting terrorism is like saying that being Catholic is supporting child molestation. You are taking one thing and applying it to something totally different. It's comparing apples to oranges. Furthermore, it's is hypocritical on your part. Almost all complex mechanical devices (be it a gas-guzzling SUV or an electric weed wacker) uses petroleum (read: OIL) products. This can be anywhere from fuel to lubrication. It all comes from crude oil. Next up, DO SOME RESEARCH! Most of the oil consumed in the United States is not from the Middle East. The US government has been doing things to reduce our dependency on foriegn oil for over twenty years. Prices still depend on the availability of Middle Eastern oil, according to the laws of supply and demand (Didn't you all take economics in high school? - read up on capitalism) That's not to say that terrorism only originates from the Middle East, but that's the signal you are giving off. Finally, do you people realize what you are doing is illegal? The moment you put a sticker on someone else's property, you have defaced it. I patiently await the day when some person takes you to court and disbands your "organization." I hope that at least some of the viewers of this post will realize how incredibly absurd your claim is.

I hope they repl yso i can rip them apart. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif
PS - If i screwed anything up, let me know so i can take care of it

Heres my post:

This is Bob.
This is Bob buying his big AMERICAN made SUV from an AMERICAN dealership.
This is Bob paying sales tax on a $50,000 SUV.
This is Bobs tax money going to the AMERICAN government.
This is the AMERICAN government kicking terrorists ass.

Ok, I dont have pictures to go with it but you get the point.

Here's the funniest part of this all......the lady who started this BS is said to have previously owned an SUV. What does that make her? Our cult leader since we support terrorisim. I think she may need a shovel so she dig her head out of her @$$.

Sorry but america needs big trucks. /forums/images/graemlins/k5.gif /forums/images/graemlins/burb.gif /forums/images/graemlins/truck.gif /forums/images/graemlins/crewcab.gif /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

I heard about the lady that started this also she isnt just a recent owner of an SUV but her family made there fortune in the oil business!

oh and if driving suvs supports terorrism by using gas then anyone drivng an internal combustion vehicle must support terorrism.YA RIGHT!!!! /forums/images/graemlins/rotfl.gif /forums/images/graemlins/rotfl.gif /forums/images/graemlins/rotfl.gif /forums/images/graemlins/rotfl.gif /forums/images/graemlins/rotfl.gif /forums/images/graemlins/rotfl.gif

I think I speak for every fire fighter and Eagle Scout in this country that drives and SUV when I say that I'm pretty steamed over your campaign. I work hard, like most firemen, at 2 fire departments. I think you need to realize who you're talking to. What have you done recently, other than accusing others of terrorism, to stop it or deal with it? Living in northern New Jersey my fellow brothers and I felt terrorism. We watched helplessly and our brothers fell to their death or we simply trapped inside a concrete tomb. We use our vehicles, and yes most of us own very large SUVs or trucks, in the line of duty. We charge through snow, ice, mud, or just debris in our way to answer YOUR calls for help! Now granted there are many out there that feel the urge to drive a monstrous SUV for no apparent reason. I see it everyday and yes it gets me steamed... but I your policy of placing bumper stickers on someone's property with out even knowing why they might own such a vehicle is dastardly. You are completely wrong in your ways and i hope someday you will understand that. God forbid if i ever should find a sticker on my GMC. Your lackey that placed it there will be held legally responsible and I'm sure the first person that is caught will most likely bring you and your website down. I think you should be ashamed of yourselves and learn some manners.

Paul Shanklin from the Rush Limbaugh show did a song about this topic called "In A Yugo". The general idea was some tree hugger buying a yugo and trash talking all SUV owners right until they got ran over by a SUV in thier Yugo...If ya get the chance, download it from winmx...Its about hillarious.

I think this meesage board is the funniest thing in the world right now... the few activists that rear their heads are just completly stupid... i find it hallarious. /forums/images/graemlins/ignore.gif /forums/images/graemlins/rotfl.gif /forums/images/graemlins/rotfl.gif /forums/images/graemlins/rotfl.gif /forums/images/graemlins/rotfl.gif /forums/images/graemlins/rotfl.gif /forums/images/graemlins/rotfl.gif /forums/images/graemlins/rotfl.gif /forums/images/graemlins/rotfl.gif /forums/images/graemlins/rotfl.gif

ok heres the plan:

one of the sites, guerrilastickers.com says they'll send you 2 free stickers to start with, then they say "If you end up doing a lot of tagging, let us know and we'll try to get you what you need. It helps if you can send us photos of your work--we'll put them up on the site! Be careful about taking photos. Most times it's best to tag and walk. Or run. Or bike."

so get yourself a cheap roll of scotch tape and their two free stickers, tell em you had some extras made up at kinko's but can't afford to keep doing that, tape the sticker to the bumbers of your buddy's SUV and then take it off, keep telling em you need more. Heck then maybe go spal em on a moped or something

What else fails in their argument is that if your are "opposed to terrorism", you will do many other things to avoid petroleum consumption.
-First and foremost, you will live near your job. I burn less gas with my k5 than some of my colleagues do with Hondas because they live a lot further away.
-Flying is right out, isn't it?
-You surely couldn't live in an area that requires a lot of energy to heat or cool your home if you are worried about this issue (California, New Mexico, etc.) Unless it is all Hydroelectric.
