pretty cool write up on york compressor!

I am definately not an expert on this, but I'm pretty sure the system doesn't engage without the a/c being activated, and if the there is no coolant at all I don't think the thing will activate anyway...

I checked into this with the local shops here because I had converted to r134, and when I was doing my engine rebuild I knocked a pressure fitting off that just pops off. I was concerned about the same thing.
