Might do a trade with a guy for his 71 Jimmy. Always wanted a gen 1 so this maybe my next 10 year project.

So to make sure the trade is fair, what does a 71 Jimmy go for? The limited info I have so far is,

No rust
Decent paint
350/350
6 inch lift 35's
Stock axles.

No clue in today's market what one of those would fetch. So figured I would ask yall.

Anything to look for on it? What t-case should it have? And issues the first gens have?

As you described I'd guess in the 4-5k range.

But I'd bet $4-5k that there is rust in the rockers and floors unless he has repaired it. And if it has been repaired, I'd want pictures showing how the repair was done otherwise I'd assume they just put bondo over the rust and painted it.

I'll give a x2 to this guy:sign7: I paid 5 for mine and was told it was 95% rust free also. You've read my thread:doah:

Definitely look it over good. Pull a rocker box end cap (1/2 and 9/16 bolts) and look inside, crawl all around under it. Try to see the "4 bolts area" at the bottom of the A pillar. Look for door alignment issues (not always indicative of rust, as mine is rust free and the doors aint exactly perfect ATM:whistle:). The basic stuff plus first gen specifics:waytogo: And as I'm sure you're aware, mechanical repairs/upgrades CAN be expensive...body work IS expensive:pimp:

Let us know what happens:popcorn::popcorn:
