I'm gonna be selling the 1/2 ton axles out of my 72 and was wondering what a good price would be. 12 bolt/44 combo with 410s, rear posi, newer front balljoints, seals, u-joints, warn premium hubs, raised steering arm and dual rancho stabilizer. The rear axle was gone thru about 5K ago, and the front is out of a 75. Thanks, Doug

$100 each?? 1/2 ton axles are too common, and unless someone is building a Samurai, they are puting on somehting bigger than that. The 4.10 gearing may be worth a bit more to someone who just wants bigger tires but isn't going wheeling, but for the most part, unless they are brand new, I think 1/2 ton axles are worthless around here.

Good luck selling them, I can't even give mine away. They're going to the salvage yard tomorrow in exchange for a few miscellaneous parts that I need.

Since the front has flat tops, someone should be interested in it.

The rear would be good for a 2wd hot rod truck guy, especially in "those" years with 6 lug C-10s, since it has posi and gears.... I'd try to get 200.00 for it.

Problem is as a pair there not worth so much...

i'll give you 100 bucks for the front axle just cause its cheaper than having 4.10s installed in mine(400 dollars jsut for labor yikes!!!). so if you want to sell it to me let me know

So I guess this means I may have to pay someone to take my axles huh!

Dana 44 front 3.73 with DRUM BRAKES

12 bolt rear open diff 3.73 :frown1:

Try ebay :) one of the members here recently sold a closed knuckle drum braked D44 front on ebay for $100, and it was missing a lockout. 3.73's are a pretty desireable ratio for near stocker's so if nothing else, scrap the housing and sell the gears separately.

To the original poster, put the 12 bolt up for sale at 67-72 chevy trucks.com for $250 and I can almost guarantee you will sell it. try selling the front here or on pirate, and make light of the fact that it has flattops.

the best of luck to both of you!
