Local guy around here wants 3500 for the 1 tons.
I was thinking that was way overpriced but what do you guys think would be a fair price for them?

Sure he wasn't in the fire when it happened, or inhaled the fumes? $3500?
If everything was rebuilt from bare-bones stock, then I'd say yeah, but it have to of had a complete teardown. My D60 collectively with everything done ran about $4K.

Yeah I know. He told me that it would cost me atleast 2500 at the junkyard and that i'd still have to go through everything. So 3500 was a steal.

Whats a good price for used D60's that have to be gone through?

I paid $750.00 for my front D60, then i went through it and spent close to $2800.00 more including the crossover.

I bought a running M1028 off Ebay for $2800. It had less than 33K miles on it. $3500 is way high just for the axles.

I bet he does. Heck I'd probably sell mine for that too. :D I'd let him know it's high and that you will be more than happy to shop around, or just wait. Tell him you're leaving your contact info in the event he ever drops his price.

I doubt it will take long for the price to come down. Tell him to stop watching so much Barret/Jackson auctions on TV. :D

i sold my 60/14b combo for $3k. i completely rebuilt everything 5.13s, detroits, discs, 35spline, cross-over etc. but it doesnt appear that his are completely rebuilt. hes asking $8k for a wrecked truck...his price is way inflated for what hes got.

$3500 is crazy.

I can't get more than 1200 for them. I'm sitting on 3 of them now and would love to get $10,500 for them :) but would be happy to take $1100 each...That guys just a bit greedy...

I can see why he's asking so much: everyone who does a SAS on the newer trucks see their trucks as high dollar bling trucks. Since it was a SAS truck, it makes it that much more special on the axles so he can ask more for them. :surepal:

I'm getting ready to rebuild a D60/14FF combo and will ask only around $2K for them. Seeing that listing in Craigslist makes me have second thoughts now and I may end up listing them on CL's to see if I can screw someone for $3500. :deal: :deal: :deal: :waytogo:

I have a set(front and rear) ill sell for 1500 + shipping completly rebuilt... Check the for sale forum... They'll have to be shipped but its still gonna be half the price of his...

hell i just sold a one ton truck in running condition, needing minimal work for 1550 bucks... spare doors, bench seat, electric fans, new hei dist, brand new clutch, flywheel and pressure plate...

i say shop around...
