Price you last paid for a windshield

Safelite installed mine. It was about $200 for the glass, weatherstripping and installation. I gave the guy $20 for lunch because he was 5’6” or shorter and had to climb all over the Blazer to do it and never complained.

Just had safelite do the furds a couple months ago... Bit extra for the upper tint one... $395 with tax...

Just had 3 done... within the last month or so.

None are Chinese replicas and I typically replace them in the Spring, but I was late this year.

I've got a buddy in the glass business ... that's why.

I learned the hard way that the “self locking” seal takes much longer and results in higher cost. Chrome locking strip is the way to go. I think it took him an hour longer than quoted - he blamed me for the extra time since I provided the seal but I think he was lacking in the experience department

I have the chrome strip tool to do the seal. I did my rear quarter windows this year and will do my own windshield, and seal. I want to go over the metal under the seal before install of new.

Does anybody remember that guy that had a huge unopened crate full of 1970's Blazer factory oem windshields...it was like 30 windshields for $1500...
