What is everyones method of pricing parts to sell? Do you take 50% of what it cost new? I figure I could get more if I part out the good parts of my rig rather than selling it as a whole, then scrap the rest. I may try to sell it as a whole still.

Things I would sell, feel free to give me a price on these items.

NWF 203/205 doubler with ord triple stick.
Rebuilt th350
TBI 350 with harness
14 bolt with 4.10's and disc brakes
38.5 swamper boggers on DIY 16.5" beadlocked rims
Crossover stuff
hydro assist stuff
3/4ton ten bolt with D44 flat tops and wfo crossover arms

Possibly a Chevy kingpin D60 with wfo crossover arm, but would rather keep that for the next build.

The doubler with triple stick is just worth the cost of shipping so just send it to me.

Yah I'm sure thats what craigslist will say too when I put it up. I want to price things right so its a deal, but not giving it away. I do have time, and I don't have to get rid of it.

PM me prices that you come up with, I may be Intrested in a few things. Or a buddy. Wouldn't be any shipping hassles either. The doubler come from behind a t350 I take it?

When are you planning all of this? Nate may be interested in stuff im sure. I would hope not for a little bit yet, you've hardly gotten to even use the damn thing...:doah:

Didn't you just finish putting it together?

It's really hard to price big stuff that won't ship very easy or cheap in todays economy! Depends on how it is where you are!

Up here stuff like that at fair price is for sale for months on Craigslist. Down in Texas a friend of mine sells same part for more money within days...

Even in clasifieds here I see stuff not selling at a fair price that would have sold first day 6-7 years ago...

Yes I just kinda finished putting it together. Times changes, when I first started doing everything I was single. I am now married and my priorities have changed. Starting a family, I should have listened to Eric and just made a 4 seater. :doah::doah:

Just looked on greatlakes4x4.com should be able to sell all of this stuff pretty quick.

Pull the body off, turn it into a 4-seater buggy

EDIT: Crewcab swap???

My used parts pricing strategy is this

Anything is automatically worth 50% of current new retail value. If it's an assembly of parts you can't really include labor to assemble the parts. Assembly of parts meaning an entire doubler or axle.

From there if the demand is good (forum research or like items moving fast on craigslist) you can add cost up to about 75% of total new retail value. The reason I say 75% of current retail is that if I want something and the option is retail or 75% of retail for a used part, I'll choose to pay retail for a brand new unmolested part.

If demand is low you list it at 50% of current retail and lower the price if there is no interest or low ball interest.

So 50% should be a decent starting point.

Seems like there are a few parts sitting out there for weeks on the high side but with what I was thinking I could easily get the price I want.
