I'm gonna have to change the upper door hinge on my driver door does/should the lower hinge need to be replaced too

I figure its yes or at least a good idea but I figured I'd ask anyways

Do you absolutely have to change the hinge, or just replace the door pins and bushings? Either way you are better off doing them both at the same time. But pins and bushings are a lot cheaper, and very simple to do.

with my door open you can shift the whole door up/forward and Ive been noticing when I hit bumps the door is "slamming" against the door jam more often so I assume its the whole hinge needing to be replaced vs the pins and bushings

I would say that is the pins and bushings. As the bushings crack they allow that type of motion, as they no longer hold the pins tight. If I had my K5 in here I would show you the cracked bushings on the tailgate hinges, and how they are offset because of it. It is the same with the doors, replace the pins and bushings and those doors will swing smooth. One thing to check is see if the pins have ovaled the hole for the bushing, if it is minor, the bushing will take up the slack, if it is a large amount, you may need to weld in the hole, then redrill it to fill the gap. Don't fill the entire hole with weld, just the ovaled portion.

If you look it shows the bushings already on the pin. That kit should be the complete kit to do one door. Pins and bushings are included.
