But why are the rear coolant ports on the heads blocked off by the intake manifold?
But I recall seeing somewhere that you can make a crossover tube out of braided hose and some fittings, and rear-cylinder cooling is improved. Might not be worth the effort/expense on a non-race motor though.
A SWAG....(scientific wild ass guess!)...
One reason might be so the heads can be swapped over and be used on either side,rather than having a different casting for right and left??....
Makes sense to me you know they try to strech so many things in making them.
