Just got my 84 Blazer back from the paint shop yesterday and was driving it around when i noticed that while going up a small hill on the highway the motor started trying to "peter" out on me. There was absolutely no acceleration. After driving it some more I started noticing that even on flat straight aways that if it got to higher RPMs that it would begin to stop accelerating and sputter a little bit. The only thing i can think of is that it is being starved for fuel. Either by the carb. the fuel filter, or fuel pump. I know the basics but im no mechanic! :dunno: ANY help and advice on this situation would be awesome!

I would check to make sure no1 screwed with anything. I hate when stuff doesn't work right after someone else touched it, even by coincidence, I don't like it.

If they masked anything under the hood, make sure they didn't bump the dizzy and screw up your timing either.

yeah it kinda ticks me off. Timing was another thing i was thinking about. Its also idling pretty rough when its in drive, not so much while in park

Any chance you have air inlet blocked by masking tape or paper from the paint shop? May have sucked something up.

possibly...i havent had a chance to look into good yet. Tryin to get some concrete pumped before this rain comes... a big part of it could be that i need a new carb
