Headers: Cheap Flowtechs

The Passenger side looked to be going in fine. The flange wouldn't seat against the block so I looked for an obstruction. Its the oil filter and the coolant temp sensor. How do I get around this so that I can re install problem parts after I've removed them to complete the install of the passenger side header?

The Driver side header seems to be demanding that I lift the engine an inch or two. Any thoughts??? I'd rather not mess with that if anyone has a trick.

i bought some flowtechs and took them back because i ran outa money ha but are they the flowtech 11500lt's or something? i think they are painted black> if so those are the ones i had and never got around to installing them now i dont think i want to get them again since i hear probloms

You really have a BIG problem if you're oil filter and temp sender are on the passenger side. :D

I was thinking the same thing. Those are mad fabrication skills there.

Your oil filter has to be on the drivers side, for sure. :eek1:

hahaha yeah i meant drivers side. I was distracted when I typed it. The passenger side is the side that I think I need to lift the engine for.

If you're talking about installing them and you can not get the header into the correct location to bolt it up, you may have to raise the motor to get it there. If you're talking about it hitting something once you have it bolted up then, yes that would be wrong.

I know a bunch of the full length header instructions say you have to raise the vehicle up a few feet to install them. So you may need to unbolt the motor and raise it up to get the header in.
