Problems with summit

Summit has usually been good to me. Only real problems I've has with them is trying to order Oldsmobile parts for my brother's 72 Cutty. We got so many wrong parts from them it was rediculous, but they took everyone of them back and paid for shipping and got us the right ones eventually, just wasted a lot of time and caused frustration.

Even talking to them on the phone, they just don't know Olds like they do Chevy, but then again, that goes for most people too. Obviously Chevy is more common, but I believe that if you sell it, you should know it.

So Craig when I come into the store next time how can I find you and complain:D
George
I don't work in the store, I work up in the office in another part of the building. So you can't find me George. Ha. :p:

sorry man. like i said it was just a rant. i called almost everyday. you guys are real busy i understand but i kept tellin em the part number and they said "well we have here it has already been shipped. should be there tomorrow". that's why i figured they had messed up. that's why i repeated the part number again and again. same response everyday. the guy actually was pretty nice and i know i'm a jacka** sometimes. but here's the part number..
PRA-PA-503 Body Lift
i said i'd never shop there again because the Fed Ex guy that delivered it said that almost every person that's ordered from there has had some kinda trouble. idk if that's true or he was just tryin to make me feel better. ? i know it's almost never the companies fault but the guy from Summit actually admitted it. i was just wonderin why they didn't give me my next day air back if the guy was gonna pay it and it wasn't there when i needed it. not tryin to make enemies or nothing. just hate being called an idiot for something i know i didn't do wrong. trust me i always double check cause of situations like this.

thanks for all the guys that did call me an idiot though. lmao

I found the order. It was an order placed on the internet on 4/16 at around 6:30pm in the evening. The next day our e-commerce department found the order flagged since there was no physical address and we left a message at the sold-to phone number (4/17). We were not called back until 4/19 (Thursday) and at that point we added the physical address. We shipped the order and you have been refunded your handling fee ($10.95) and your NDA fee ($23.00) for a total of $33.95. You will see these refunds back on your credit card in a few days. I would call that pretty fair given the circumstances.

"I didn't get my HRH-HRH70BF today and I paid for the overnight delivery. I really need it."

Thanks for the free upgrade :)

Summit has always kicked ***.I have many shipments from them in the last few years and they have never let me down.Yesterday I ordered a set of the Summit brand blockhugger headers with the ceramic coating for my big block and they were here before noon today. That's right around 24 hours! Not only that, but when I opened the box the first thing to fall out was a set of gaskets in a bag with "Patriot exhaust products" written on it.So I'm wondering about that so I pulled the headers out along with the packing slip to check it.The packing slip shows the correct part # on it but the headers are actually the Patriot coated headers, which they list for about 75 bucks more.I don't know how that happened, but I'm cool with it.Anyway,if anyone has had a bad experience with Summit, you are in the very small minority of their customers.Like, one in a hundred.-Allen

yeah summit doesnt make any of their own stuff they just put their name on outsourced stuff. anytime I have ever ordered from em the shipping was fast but I have had to ship stuff back because it was wrong, a freind just ordered some pushrod guideplates and they were the wrong ones then the new ones he got there were only 5 in the box so they had to back again. also a lot of times Jegs prices are a lot cheaper, I got a carb from jegs and the same one in summit was $75 higher. I guess Ive had mostly good experience with them though. -Dustin

I've always had good experiences with Summit.

The only small bitch I have is that some of the heavier stuff didn't have very good packaging. I ordered a T.C. a while back and had UPS kicked it around a little more it would have been damaged pretty easily.

Craig, what does it take to get a shirt? I already have like 5 hats and a billion stickers.

With the new Georgia store, I can usually place an order one day and it's at my door the next with regular UPS ground.

Some of the "Handling" charges I've seen lately though were kinda ridiculous (like $25 bucks on a medium size box)?????

thanks craig. i did actually call on the 18th but oh well. it wasn't my credit card so i'll have to be sure i tell her about this money coming in or i might not see it. lol thanks again. i'm just gonna find you on here and see what you can't do for parts from now on. you can tell me what i might do wrong next time. sure it'll happen

Ok Hijack...

Hey Craig, I ordered part number PTP-7-1711-BL and it has been back ordered twice. I'm in rush to get it but is there any possible way to for you to check that?

Craig, you should have never told us asshats that you work for summit! :haha:
From now on all summit purchases must be made through Craig, but he recieves a 5% commision on every purchase. As long as the packages arrive on time. :wink1:

Hey Craig, Got my toilet seat and plunger today just like you said I would.:haha: :haha:
