my buddy is a painter but he left me hanging and i need to keep moving forward on this project and looking for recomendations
body has beenstripped and primed with dp90 epoxy, bodywork has been done and sealed with the dp90.

i have a quart of standox polyester but i dont even think i need anything that thick.
but the mix ratio is weird its the poly/5% hardener and 10% reducer
i have sata pps cups but cant figure out that ratio

ive used k36 high build primer but have read thats old school and theres much better high build primers available now
any sugestions?

K38 is the hi build version..

personally, I'm not a huge PPG fan....

there are certainly better filler primers out there.... heck run Glasurit's, that's the most amazing fill primer I've ever used, but ya pay for it..

the last few yrs, I've been using Dupont's Nason 2k primers.. it's a little over a c-note a gallon mixed, which is cheap these days... and it's a real nice filling primer...

thanks Ryoken,
went to the paint store this morning and they were out of the nason, the salesman sold me some Omni ,think it was 282 , sprayed it today.

now i have a question about primer color for the top coat

the top coat is going to be a dark silver with a greenish hue , thats the best i can explain it,
so do i want my finished primer color to be light or dark?

generally lighter, that's why most primers are gray or buff... navy blue? some maroons, black and such, yeah, than ya want the dark primers.. and there are always the tintable primers, tho honestly, I've never been a fan.... makes them sand worse, wastes paint imo, etc...

ok just about all blocked
i think im going to use SPI universal clear seems for the price it stand up with the big name clears

would like some sugestions on base i dont want cheap base but i dont want to spend 5-600 on a gallon either
