after many years of part time efforts, things are coming to a drivable conclusion. Should finish the drive-train this week or next week. Then odds and ends like lights, winch, ect. pics in the gallery tell the story.

Glad to hear it's coming together. I was wondering where you wandered off to... :D

I can't remember, was it Thompson's that was working on it?

Yep. Spare Time Project For Don. Took Almost Three Years, But I Was Not In A Hurry And His Guys Did A Super Job. I Would Take Body Work There Before I Would Take It Any Where In Mobile. They Do Quality Work And Are Good, Honest Folks.

Yeah, we've done business with Don for years and years. Plain old good folks.

Have ceramic coated shorty headers (to be secured with NASCAR-type wired bolts to eliminate the need to constantly re-tighten), new radiator, serpentine belt system, 140 amp alt.(chrome case), twin optima batteries, new a/c components going in next week. Then after drivable, reproduction stereo, soft top, winch, and fog lights (switches for aux lights in place of ash tray since I don't need an ash tray). New seat belts for rear seat. CB, 300 watt kicker, stainless steel 102" whip antenna.
Rear speakers will be secured with velcro and have 6-8' extra wire to facilitate use outside vehicle.
