Thanks, it looks pretty cool in the truck. I had to fiberglass the heater duct in the front and utilize the two outside openings. Not much need for heat here in so. Fla.
Palm City.... you're right down the road from me....... cool. I'm building a 1985 K5 right now. I'm in the middle of a 1-ton upgrade (Dana 60 install ongoing).
Its a done deal, I cut as you saw then cut some of the supports and added a fiberglass 4" cowel induction scoop, (functional) The finished (unpainted) project is at the front of my thread.
Good job on the cowl induction hood. Someone on here made a cowl induction hood for his 1st gen K5 using the factory steel from the hood for the top piece and adding some metal to the sides. It turned out well.
