Progress pics showing 15\" wheels on 14ff

Well there is no turning back now. These were from Saturday after about 3 hours of working on it. Still got alot to do but only had limited time this weekend to work on it. Also you can see the 10 bolt and 14ff side by side and the 14ff has 15x10 with 4 1/8 backspacing wheels. Project Mighty Mouse here.

Cool, looks like you've got a project on your hands! What front diff are you running/going to run?

This may have been covered before but I'm wondering if 15" wheels will fit on say a D60? I plan to replace my chattering 12bolt (1st gen) with a 14FF this winter but am not sure I can get away with 15" wheels if I plan to replace the front 44 with a 60 sometime down the road?

Looks like it is really going to widen your rear track. How much wider will it be? Or do you plan to do some work to get it closer to the original track width?

Sorry no hedge pic.

Now let me answer the ??. The lift is almost 5" and the tires are 35x14.50. I have some pics to add showing it under the truck now. It has widened the track and the rear tires stick out just a tad which I like. I do not have any spacers on the rear either. The front will be a Dana 60 and yes it will have the same 15x10's with 4 1/8 backspacing.

Is that axle from Rodger? If so did he help with the perches? I relocated my perches this weekend and did some painting. I might give the weld another once over, not to happy with the weld; stout as hell but just to play it safe.

Re: Progress pics showing 15\" wheels on 14ff

Yes the axle is from Rodger, my Dana 60 is from sombody else. I did all the work relocating everything myself. The shock mounts I cut off a junk 10 bolt van axle over at Rodger's because of how long they were so I was able to cut them down and fit them easily. When I mounted the perch I dialed in just a bit of tilt to help with pinion angle. I did it all without the axle ever being under the truck and when I put it in today everything lined up.

LOL. That little handfull is my youngest daughter Katelynn. She thinks her Daddy's truck is cool. She is a good helper too. If I could only get her to understant the difference between metric and standard sockets I would have it made.

Well I talked to Donna and everything is cool for the weekend. If you want you can come up Friday night and crash here and Lauren and Donna can go to cheerfest with the kids. It's up to you and her on what you want to do and if you come Friday I will take off from work.
