Just wanted to show you all what the heck I've been doing everyday for the past 5 months.
Man this is a lot of work. Anyway, check it out if you want.

Most everything is just sitting there in a test fit stage.

Nice sharp truck Todd. I like the wood in the backend.

Hey, what kind of dog is that?

Thanks Laketex,,, I just made those side panels today. Someone used underlayment (subflooring) in the back of my 85 and it worked out pretty well. So I just pulled one out, test fit it, traced it, cut it out, burned it with a torch, and polyurathaned it.

Hey Todd,

Are those door panels from Coverlay ? If so, how did they fit and did they come with the lower carpeted half ? They look great. I want to get some for my 82 but wanted to have a testimonial first. Thanx !

It's always fun till someone losses an eye....then it's just blind fun.

Thanks a bunch Riz. No, I got the panels and the carpet from LMC, they don't come together, the drivers side panel fit perfect, the passanger side was just a bit off,, with some pushing and pulling, I got all the screws in. The carpet fits great, as you can see

. My truck has never had any carpet panels or trim pieces, so I had to drill ALL the holes.
Whew! There's a bunch of 'em......

Hey Todd,

How much were your door panels ? I've priced them at Coverlay and was wondering if they're cheaper where you got yours.

cool truck. I have a 73 that i'm putting a newer nose on and wanted to know what you did about the wipers. did all the 87 parts just bolt on?

I bought the blazer with that front end on it. I heard you have to change the wipers, but they look different than my 85's,, I'll have to look more closely.

Riz,, I'm at work right now, I'll look at the price of the door panels when I get home. I don't remember cuz I bought a bunch of stuff at once.

Hey Riz,, those panels are $159.95 a pair. Now I need a favor from you. If you have a stock working oil pressure gauge, please rip your dash apart and measure the voltages on the prongs of the gauge for me please.

Bablazer73,
I just looked at both my blazers, 85 and 78/87, and the motors and pumps are the same, and are bolted to the firewall the same. But the wipers are different. The 78 still has the old wipers with the sprayers coming up through the slots between the hood and the winshield. The 85 has the newer wipers with the sprayers connected to them.
