project big blaze from trucks for sale

Yeah, I was being generous and using the "today" price. /forums/images/icons/wink.gif Discount Tire has them now for something like $183 each.

You got to remember that you never get close to what you put into a vehicle back out of it (most cases), unless you get stuff cheaper than normal. I've got over 20 grand in my K5 and doubt I could get much better than the 10 thou that it is insured for back out of it. I personally would not buy that truck for close to that much, even if I could afford it. I mean, is it worth to have a $3500 dana 60 rear when you can get a 14 bolt for MUCH cheaper? I did watch the build up of it and it does kick a$$ though.

<font color=blue> Very true ! Try and build it for less ...you can't !

And for that price you also get to say you own Project Big Blaze from Trucks.

I for one dont own a nationally known rig that was built on TV.

And besides what could it possibly have, 5000 miles since a total and complete rebuild. Id say its worth it when you add up the cost of the whole rig to build it. The only "bad" part on it is the built up 10 bolt front.

Dang I would have to sell BOTH K5's the boat, the MG's the Honda the Cadillac the dog and the little brother to afford that!!!!

Well, I know Trucks is a cool show, but in no way shape fashion or form is it in anyway even close to NASCAR. No , I doubt he has bought beer, but I bet his fans have. By the millions . How many of you "Trucks" fans have gone ou and bought an ATLASS II because they put it in big Blaze. We built a number of vehicles that competed nationaly in IASCA and two that even took very high honors at Nationals, nad they DID NOT get stuff for free. Rockford Fosgate, Alpine , guys like that don,t even give stuff way , they will give it to you at a fraction of th e cost, but very rarely FREE. Now , they may have gotten every peice od that rig for free , but like I said, I doubt it. Just my .02

D , No I dont doubt that you had to pay.......but i bet (IF you have a good acctnt) that you took it off your taxes as an advertiising expense for the biz............so what does say Holley care about swapping ONE injection system for air time plug given AND an advertising expense.......Hell that is cheaper than some lunches i seen billed to the Co.LOL

we are beating a dead horse. free, discounted, full, or double price, it doesnt really matter and we'll never know. If someone got a dana 60 for free and wanted to sell it to you for $500 would you buy it? yeah you would. so would I

cool truck but I dont understand why they used the rear 60 and the front 10. Nor do I understand why they used the atlas II xfer case. Unless of course it was because of their sponsors. here we go again

Yah, but i like beating dead horses!!!!! I get what yall are saying.!! /forums/images/icons/smile.gif

Beating a dead horse? Mark Martin got sick of that, maybe we will too. HEY THERES A GOOD EXAMPLE!!!! DONT YOU GUYS THINK HE GETS ALL THE VIAGRA HE WANTS FOR FREE? I BET SO!!!!

Pssst.......you know, they say mark martin is stiff competiton these days.

They should have a contest and give "Big Blazer" away as the grand prize. I'd enter !!!!!!

You're damn right about those bumpers. I called for price quotes just to see. They wouldn't even quote me for the rear one because it was built special for that Blazer. The guy on the phone told me that the bumpers were paid for, not donated. He wouldn't say how much, but they weren't free.
