Well it seems like everyone else thats building a rig has a build thread so why not another? Right?

I bought this truck in early 2002, Traded my 73 full vert for the 72 :D. She was very cute all primered and no lift on 235s. Alot of extensive work has gone on over the years amongst lifts, body work (including replacing the entire bed due to a parking lot accident). But I never had a real plan for the truck just big and bad of course. But now after being a ck5 member for awhile I realize how expensive you all are . You all suck! Just kiddn.

Heres my project plan to be done by april of 09. Also keep in mind I have to do all this in the driveway with a decent amount of tools.

Here is what she allready has,

tbi injected 350
sm465-205
14 bolt rear and dana 44 front
semi custom font bumper
stock length 6" springs and 2" body lift 39.5 tsls

Here is the plan....
Re swap another 14 bolt for the rear. With detroit
Dana 60 front with detroit.
Crossover, with hydro?????
64" rear springs
52" fronts
fix the rear main leak:( What a waste of time
Roll cage
Rear bumper with tire carrier
re-work the front bumper

Any and all advice is very much appreciated
Here is some before pics.........

I kept breaking u-joints with my 38s, so I got 39.5s and thought it would fix everything:D.

I tried to update a little more today but turns out that somehow my usb for my camera broke .

Stay tuned for the dana 60 rebuild pics.

Long hot days in the sun..........

put 56's up front, then you dont have to the rear hanger. plus the bigger the better. thats what i did.

yea man its way better. just move the back bolts on the hanger to where the fronts were and you wont have to do anything to the back hanger. just get 7 1/4 shackles. thats all there is to it.

I have the fgb52 kit from diy with a set of easy inchers and alot of fender trimming allready done. Is it still alot different and more complicated?

run the 52s up front. I do on my 71 and my rear hanger is in stock location. I made a crossmember for the front with now hanger and stretch my front end forward 3". Build thread in sig with tons of pics

oh yea sorry man i didnt look at your pic. yea its diffrent for first gen but i have no idea how much different.

Tried to cheat the system a little and only replaced the bottom crank seal, Still leaky! Crap, now its on to seperating engine and tranny dang it. This may take a minute, Hold please...............

Oh man, been so long since I started this I forgot it was here...

There has been some significant changes here. New garage for me! Turns out its no longer a "driveway" build thread. (thank goodness) Set me back quite a few grand but worth it.
