Here are pics my current project. I still have to cap them and paint them to match the truck. Let me know what you think.

What am I missing....why are you going to paint them?...To each his own I guess /forums/images/icons/crazy.gif

So how are you going to oppertat the latch? Are you going to have a string or something?

I'm actually going to have a rod that stick straight up the top and you'll just pull up to open it. The drivers side opens really easy cause it lined up nicely, but the passenger side kinda sticks so i need to adjust it some more.

Did you see the pictures? THEY ARE HIDEOUS!!/forums/images/icons/wink.gif You should know that I like my projects complete. And leaving them like this wouldn't be complete./forums/images/icons/shocked.gif

Those are real nice!! Very simple and you kept the original lines. Make sure to take lots of pics of the latch mechanism. Thats the part I always wondered about.

I think you should paint the truck to match the new doors, graphics and all!!

They are going to be the easily removeable type doors. I already modified the pins to work, now all I need to do is get an extra set of hindges so I don't have to swap the door half each time i want to swap doors.

Dude...... you cut the door handles off..... how you gonna' get in ? Duh!? Hello ? /forums/images/icons/smile.gif Right on! those look great! Your rig is looking so tuff !

The glass is gone. It wouldn't be able to work with the glass anyways. The doors are cut too low. Half the glass would be showing when they'd be rolled down. And then when they'd be rolled up, there'd be an openeing between the bottom of the glass and the top of the door.

I don't see any problem with cutting them any lower. There are a few others around here that have done just that. But I wanted to keep the body line so I didn't go any further. The way the are right now is right about where your armrest is on the inside.

Yo Esteban, can you email me a pic or two of your half doors. CK5's pics are all gone.../forums/images/icons/frown.gif

I'm interested to see. I'm almost done with mine...Thanks a million

It's gonna have to wait till tomorrow. The pics i put up are on my computer at work and I won't be able to get them for a while. I'll just snap some more in the morning at put them up in the afternoon.

I had your webshots page somewhere, but I can't find it now. Are yours still up there? Have you put any more pics up?

i did a set for a 73 a while back used all the original mounting brackets and the latch, but cut the whole inside out so its just a skin, sorta nice cause if you dent them you just push out the dent .

Esteban Thanks for the work you did to get those pics on you webshots for ME... Thanks for the shots. Did you see my first 1/2 door project. The new ones are almost complete...Should be done this weekend. Thanks Again.
