1977 Chevy K20 - Root beer brown

350, sm465, np205, D44/14bff

Motor Upgrades:
-Edelbrock aluminum heads
-Edelbrock intake
-Edelbrock carb
-Performer Plus cam
-Headman Headers
-etc

I also was given a carb spacer to put on it.

Truck also has a winch from bumper, gov-lock, receiver hitch, fairly new bench seat and carpet, CB, subs, etc.

Truck appears to have a small lift. Approx 2", although I'm not quite sure.

285/75/16 street tires, and some aftermarket rims (not sure of the brand, I'll check tomorrow)

I'll try and snap some pics tomorrow as well.

Here I found one of him being the poop

Sorry for the lack of pics. I got super busy today, and didn't have a chance to snap any. I'll try to snap some in the morning, and post them ASAP. no promises though.

I joined up on this site for the completely AWESOME k-series tech you guys have. I figured this would be the best place to be when it comes time to start askin' questions.

I guess I could post up my future plans...

diy4x shackle flip with 56s in the rear
52s up front with the B-52 kit
diy4x poly motor mounts
steering box braces, weld-on and bolt-on
attempt to fix my SUPER sloppy sm465 shifter
And a JVC head-unit

Not to sure on rims/tires yet... I figure I'll get to that, when I get to that.

how the truck looked when I got it.

Got a tubular grill, because I had to break my grill one day, because the hood cable popped out of place.

Got a new non-rusted hood and put on it for cheap. Picked up some cheap white wagon wheels in the 16.5x8.25 version. Also got a set of 37" military tires from Obijuan to put on it. Had to trim up the front fenders a bit so they wouldn't rub. No pics of that though.

Got some Edelbrock tall aluminum valve covers, and a matching air cleaner. Also cleaned up the engine compartment a bit after changing the intake gasket today.

Got some black stuff on the firewall. Looks like spray-bomb undercoating. Gonna try to scrape it off a bit, without messing up the paint. I don't like the way it looks.

Should be pickin' up my dana 60 from Obijuan next week!

Cool truck! I like that winch bumper and I'm diggin the door mounted mud flap/side trim on the passenger door:wink1:

that blackstuff is factory applyed.
I figured, but I don't like it. So its coming off, if it will come easily!

That piece of trim is long gone. Best as I can tell, the door was repaired by a ****ty shop at one point, and when i pulled the trim off, I pulled a good bit of body filler off too. Also, that door is a slightly different color than the rest of the truck.

Factory tach. :saweet:
It doesn't work though. :doah: Cruisin' at 65mph, its waaaay off the gauge. Goes all the way around, to pretty much straight down. lol

Wa plates...TX truck? Vicy versy?

Washington truck, relocated to Texas in '05. Purchased by me, a few years later. Truck has some rust, because of this. :doah: But its mostly fenders and doors. only one small spot on the cab.

Ahhh...if it has carpet or anything you'd be best to remove it and have a very good look at your floors then. PNW trucks might not get hammered by salt so much, but they don't ever get a chance to dry out either.
