Not feeling that paint scheme at all....

It's a weird place to break the colors visually. You could do more of a factory two-tone, with a center band of clor, but typically it needs the side trim to help define the belt line of the truck.

yeah, honestly im just getting ansy and looking for projects to do that wont cost an arm and a leg, i plan on professionally repainting it all black next year during summer, so this was would just be temporary for now.

Edit: here are a couple of pictures, one of what i was thinking about doing, but only with black on the bottom. and then i think the second is your idea.

Honestly i think i like your idea better, but i dont have this grey color on hand atm. and by gray i mean the color my truck is now, the bottom is black already.
