Ok so i bought my 86 blazer for $1500. It had rust everywhere when i bought it and was ok with that because i can fix it. But the more rust i cut out, the more i find. Its rusted front to back. Im a strong believer of not cutting up a vehicle if it can be fixed. This is beyond fixing. So i present to you.... Project Nighthawk!

that's about average for here in joysey.. with a hammered tailpan too...

hey, your Texas, I thought they didn't have rust...

Oh and fyi that hole can be fixed. When i cut the rust out it looked just like that. Check my build thread in my sig. Floor patching starts around post 450 i think.

I know the holes can be fixed. But ill have to replace all floor supports, all floor metal, all pillar metal, and everything underneath. If i was going to do a full restor i would be better off buying another blazer.

My plans are to do a full on fiberglass custom. I love the hummer hx concept, i may design it on my macbook to see if its do able. Or im thinking a sand racer thats street legal.

Sounds cool! Get to it! Make sure to part anything out on it your not gonna use. Mirrors, glass, tailgate internals, etc. Stuffs getting harder to find.

Found this jewel

So i went to a few junkyards looking for inspiration and parts. While i was finding nothing but junk, i did find this jem, and i scored it for $30. Any idea what this is from?
