Project "piss Adam off by Cutting Good sheetmetal"

So I picked up this solid 87ish tub for 400 bucks. I have an 89 frame in good condition. Plan is to make this a full vert k5 for bombing around town and mild wheeling. 4" springs in the front and shackle flip in the rear. Atleast 36" or 37" radial tires(for now). Drive train is unknown as I can't make up my mind. I want to do a 5.3, 6.0 or 454 tbi for good reliable power and drivability. I could always swap my current stuff into it 350tbi 350 trans and 203/205 to get it going. I guess I'll cross that bridge when I come to it.

I will start with the frame and paint resto/ cutting the half cab off and getting the tub and frame into primer. Most likely will be buying the full boxing kit from DIY4x while I'm at it. This build will not happen overnight but hopefully within the next 3 years :)

I don't think even Adam could get mad about making it into a full convertible.

hack it Jess!

Adam will get over it!

Its just beggin for attention!

So keep it really low by frenching some slider boxes in up front with the 4 in springs, and leave the rear alone.. then you can really hack into the fenders to clear a 37... :)

I see, you're going to clear big tires with stock suspension using this 2' body lift:

Got a sandblaster?

LOL I do not have a blaster yet. Dave said I should be fine with the 40lb one. I got some paint stripping discs on the way for my 4.5" angle grinder. Also have some self etching primer on the way.

Speaking of body lift the tub came with some3-4" body lift pucks. Anyone want them?
