Project: "Playing Catch Up" 90' Suburban

I'm pretty happy with how it turned out. I was a little off on my assumption I wouldn't need to trim a whole lot. ya that was an understatement!!!

Started this afternoon with a little one on one with the 4.5" grinder. I cut the entire lip off the fender and still have a little more to cut to get it where I want. Over all at least I can turn the wheels now :haha: :waytogo: :D still need to do the same to the rear and weld the inner fender structure to the outer sheet metal at some point. I drove it around the block and I think I need to toe in the front just a bit. She's almost street worthy.

Ordered everything for crossover steering tonight :woot::D:waytogo: along with a rear pinion guard. Should help her perform better off-road and protect some vulnerable areas. Should be able to finalize my front shock location once I get the new steering on since the stock push/pull is right where I want to mount the shocks. Planning a wheeling trip around July 4th after I get back from some work training in NJ.

I also picked up some spare front driveshafts and a 2wd gear box for free! Should be able to make some good trail spares and finish off the crossover steering.

I also put on my 37" military tires for some street driving. I think one of the wheels on the 39.5's is bent. Did a little bit of testing on a small rock pile. 37's clear with ease but the 39.5's are going to need a little more trimming. With the rear welded these 37's bark like crazy, but the truck is loud and obnoxious so it kind of fits! :D
