Hey guys, do any of you remember the project stinky truck from Petersons? (I think??) It was a diesel blazer that they did a series build up on.

I am starting my own stinky build. I came across a '85 diesel K5 that is running for $500. The body is straight, it has aluminum wheels and 33 inch BFG's, and even a winch bumper. The transmission is toast. The guy just spent $400 on a brand spanking new radiator even!

Here is what I have for it so far:

- 6 inch lift using 6 inch springs in the front and DIY4X's shackle flip in the rear and 2 inch springs. (already ordered)

- Dana 60 front and 14ff rear with 4.56:1 gearing with detroit in rear (already have)

- crossover steering ( haven't decided on vendor) Any suggestions?

- 38x15.5x15 TSL's on 15x10 steel bullet holes (already have)

_ Tranny....still haven't decided on that one...any suggestions?

Thanks for any input.

Get the GM tranny you will not regret it.

Get an SM465 or an NV4500 and you'll never have to replace a tranny again...:D
