Project " Sugar Daddy "

Just been doing all the small things ,making the rest SAS hangers , working on the other conversions in the shop as well . Will be posting pics soon.

I always wondered why GM didn't put a diesel in the 4-door Tahoe/Yukons, I sure would like to have one. But a Cummins will work too.:D

Just a few updates ,been working on the m715 and other Custom projects .

Here are some pics.

1. The rear suspension , removed the spring mounts off the outside of the frame and used Ruffstuff french mounts but I droped them under the frame for the lift that I need.

The Dana 70 disc brake , used the norm Gm cal ,rotors but the problem with the 1st gen dodge D70U was the 1/2 wheel studs ,so i found the the GM dana 60 front wheel studs will work and will match the Dodge / Gm dana 60 wheel studs.

The locker and master kit will be doing soon.

2. The twin turbo mock up with the Custom cone flange and backing plate for the Hx35/ to the Corba head down pipe which is bolted to the BG Ht3b. The cone flange was made to do away with the clamp and extra connection . It also helps with the weight of the 2nd turbo. Yes that's a 5" inlet on the turbo.

3. The front SAS brackets are almost done and they are made to fit with the stock tow hooks ,for those that like the stock look. The mounts are lower than most . ( pics later weeks to come )

I guess it would help if I posted the turbo pics :doah:.

The twin mock is done , do a tear down and get the housings coated satin black temps good to 2000*. The head is getting cut for fire rings and the block will be getting cleaned painted .

The oil needs the bung installed in the oil pan for the SS flex oil drain,

The front suspension is some what mocked up and done , just need to clean the frame where the ifs was . The frame need a wipe down with rust sealer ,paint and undercoat .

Here is the tire or rough where it should be ,once all the weight is in it should come down another 1.5" or so.

The Hot pipe is a Cummins C series corba head ,Cast , OEM. I cut the slip fit band off and welded a V - band flange on. The mini megaphone was to do away with having another clamp and V-band.

Thanks

awesome thanks. I'm going to have to rig something special to get the silver66 and HT4C to fit in my superduty.

Ok, got to know! What happened to this build? Did it get finished, and a bad ass sas twin turbo Cummins powered '97 Tahoe is out there roaming the streets?

Well my projects always on hold or when I find time in between other conversions, 3 surgery's later, sold the trans twice and the tires.

I didn't forget this build and it will be finished very soon, I lost all the update pics during PC crash so I will go back and do some updates where I left off.

Thanks
Scott

Wish I could show some updates, been doing few things here and there. I have spent way to much time and money to stop here and no way to go back. I did find some pics the other day that I thought was lost.

Thanks
