Projector headlights

I'm looking at upgrading my headlights on my 94 Sub. At 10" taller than stock, I'm not getting much light on the road. I'm looking at at the Painless kit to re-wire the lights and new lights. The projectors that I've seen are expensive, at $300 bucks for a pair. Does anyone have any experiance with them?

I've tried brighter lights in the GM composite lamps. The pattern sucks so bad that the brighter light just doesn't help. The cool thing about the Euro-spec lights is that they are made to actually focus the light to where you can use it.
