Ok just installed my new 700r from BTO:crazy: but am having problems with it on the test drive. When it shifts into third, it kinda feels like it slips or like a double shift:confused: and when coming to a stop you can feel it like push the truck.:(

Next can't get the TCC to disengage. The step says to apply light throttle when in fourth and lightly press brake pedal and RPM's should jump up about 300 and drop back down when you release the pedal. It won't do it.:doah:

Now for the PROM question, during the test drive my check engine light will flash on and off, scan it and I get code 51 prom error.:angry1: Does my prom have anything to do with the shift points on the tranny or the TCC lockup.:1zhelp: I've never had this code ever until today.

Any help would be greatly appreciated:bow:

Oh yeah also its for a California 86 :k5: with a 350 (carbed)

How do you have Check Engine codes on an '86 with a carb? I thought they were only from TBI computers ... are the later Q-jets *that* computer-controlled? :(

Did you plug in the TCC control wires into the trans?
Is the TV cable adjusted properly by the method BTO recomends? With pressure guage?

Yes, they are plugged in, also did a check with a multimeter as requested by BTO to make sure the voltage goes to 0 w/ the brake pedal depressed and it did. TV cable hooked up and my pressures matched good with what they compared them too.
