Gotta a question about the stock prop. valve that's on the front cross member. Now I've replaced everything in the braking system (except for the mc, pb, and prop. valve) when I did my front and rear axle swap, and I'm still haven't a problem I was before I did the swap. Sometimes, whenever my K5 feels like it, it'll pull to the right when braking. Sometimes it's alot. Sometimes not at all. The only thing I can think to replace that I haven't yet is the OEM prop. valve. Could this be the culprit or is there something I'm not seeing?

Have you replaced the rubber brake hoses? When those go bad they deteriorate from the inside and can hold a caliper or wheel cylinder open.

Lemme just jump in here I think I have a problem with mine as well, I had a problem with a very hard pedal and the vacuum assist brakes. But big new cam I figured not enough vacuum so I put on hydroboost. It stops better, still not great, and the same hard pedal.

It has new calipers, new master, new ps pump. Brake hoses are relatively new braided, I think I put em on in.....02 or 03, cant recall exactly.

I would think with the hydroboost it would atleast try to lock up the tires, I can jam hard on the pedal and it just slows to a stop, no attempted lockup at all.

Bad prop valve?

If I'm not mistaken, the prop valve doesn't handle any side to side bias, only front/rear.

sounds like the front right is working and the front left is not if it pulls to the right.maybe the f/l caliper is stuck.you could also try bleeding the brakes again.if the brakes get heated up enough it can brakedown the brake fluid and it may just need some fresh fluid.my best guesses.

Mine use to pull very hard to the right and it was the driver side caliper sticking open. I replaced it and have not had a problem since. Now on the other hand I can’t get the back brakes to work worth a damn and have replaced everything except for the lines which is next now. It passes the safety inspection though but barely.
