hey guys! i have an 89 blazer. i was wondering the pro's and con's of doing the swap. also will i be fully street legal all over the us? where can i find out. im in the AirForce and might need to know that one since moving around will probably happen at some point. So has anybody done this to there street legal rig and how is it working out. thanx sandypants

Why would you want to do propane if you already have TBI fuel injection in your Blazer? It will be harder to find, fuel tanks are small and you dont really gain too many advantages over your TBI other than there would be no computer and it would be easier to work on.

You have a computer controled fuel injection system in your truck. It is programed to run on gasoline. It wont run on propane.
You cant run propane unless you completly remove the ECM and all engine controls. Along with a propane conversion kit, you will need a older style HEI distributor and intake manifold and convert back to a carb.
I dont think that modifing the TBI engine that much would be 50 state smog legal.
I really do not see any advantage converting TBI to propane. You will only end up with less power and worse gas milage.

thank you for your input. somebody had told me it was the way to go so i thought i would just ask the experts. i think i will just get a better throttle body and well actually just save up and wait for this engine to wear out then just buy a more powerful more efficient (which is key) engine. thankyou everybody sandypants out
