Propane Injection

Okkkay, so I have been reading up as much as I can on swapping to propane. Unfortunately the links I have found are usually from web sites that no longer exist, and I have just not been able to find the info that I want. I would like to run propane on my 396 big block. Can any of you point me in the right direction?

this is a complete kit but if you talk to some of the guys on here that no about it, you could piece a kit together cheaper.

That looks insanely pricey. I Know people have put these together for a few hundred bucks, anyone know where to get the right parts individually?

Found my kit used on craigslist. Been a few years. Paid 400 for everything and came with 2 bottles.

If I were going to buy new stuff, this is what I would buy.

That being said, I have never needed to buy new stuff as in my area of the country, there are tons of these kits on pickups still running that can be had for cheap. You'd still need to find a tank and lines. The approved propane hose is a little spendy, but safety wise, you have no choice. You will be very happy with the end result.

My problem is still where to mount the tanks, inside? What about when the top is on? Where the fuel tank is currently? Possibly with 1/4" plate covering it?

Just an update, was able to get an awesome setup for my truck for $175 off of craigslist. They can be had for cheap. I now have an extra dual fuel setup that I am getting rid of too... In case anyone is interested.

What did you end up getting??? Mixer??? Vapor??? Lockoff???
