propane install?

High gas prices+mortgage= not much money for wheeling or anything for that matter. Is anybody out there running propane? If so what size tanks did you manage to fit under the truck and did you have to go to a milder cam etc...
From what I understand, depending on the system one looses about 10-15% mileage and power, can have troubles with heavy cams, and problems installing the tanks. The upside is propane is cheap, runs at any alttitude and angle and unless it's -30 outside isn't a problem.

i believe Canada has better Propane prices and is more plentiful there.

lots of guys over on www.pirate4x4.com running propane. i'll be running two forklift LPG tanks on mine...that's the beauty of fullsizes, you have much more space. i live about 10 minutes from the texas/mexico border, so in my area propane is quite plentiful...mainly because many homes use propane for water heaters and stoves. propane does yield a power loss, but you can build the motor for higher compression.
