Pros and cons of the 14 Bolt FF and the 14 Bolt SF?

It is an upgrade from the 10 and 12 bolt. Just a downgrade from a 14FF. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Yep, the newer ('88 on up) trucks, especially more Z-71's have them if they are the 1/2 versions.

ALL (2wd and 4wd)1/2 ton in everything after 87 in mexico that had v8 were considered 2500's and all had 14 SF 6 lug crazy huh /forums/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif

Unbelievable! I have heard that Mexico makes some weird crap over there. /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

I have also heard their SBC's are not something to watch or search for. Something about the metallurgy and/or pourosity (sp) is very poor and will not get by for US standards of hot rodding/souping up motors.

I hear that you can also get a new Ramcharger based on the newer body style but it does not fit the crash standards here in the US.

ya I saw the ramcharger down there. It just looks like a little bit bigger durango. Also, the Chevys down there are all 2500 like scoobydann said I didnt see a single 1500. But, i think its just a tag, because I looked under them out of curiousity and they all had 5 lug axles, dana maybe? I didn't recognize the axle offhand but it most def wasnt a SF 14-bolt. They musta all been 6 packs. But I'd take a US built one any day after listening to them run. They dont sound very...sound.
