What's the best way to protect crome wheels from rusting I read some stuff about waxing them but the more I read the more I got confused.

Thanks

I've never had a set of chrome wheels rust on me and never used wax, etc on them. I'd say the biggest thing you can do is keep them clean (don't let mud sit on them for long periods).

I was looking into "rust converters" last night when I found a product on "Jay Lenno's Garage" called Quick Glow (made in America). Here watch this.

Btw I'm looking for recommendations on a good rust converter/incapsulator for my underbody, so I can undercoat it with rubber. If I were to try to fix it right it would take a whole new body, so slowing it down as much as possible is my best bet for the bottom side.

Thanks ill have to try it out as far as the under body how bad is it ? I would take a wire wheel on a grinder and get rid of the rust

Yep, I understand that, I'll knock off some of the really bad stuff but like I said it's at the point (before I bought it) it's too rusty to fix "properly", so I'm cleaning and bondoing the holes on the outside, but I just want to convert the rust underneath so I can rubber coat it.

It'll never be a daily driver again, it's just going to be a barely street legal toy, since I can't haul it, so I can live with it if it's not perfect, I just wanted to make it last as long as possible.

I'm thinking either a tannic acid or phosphoric acid based converter, I was just looking for opinions, recommendations, and "avoid...".

Sorry didn't mean to high jack the thread.
