yeah, I know, it's crap most of y'all have done many times before.
but today I actually got my 14 bolt taken apart. holy crap the rust was bad. took a couple of hours of beating and heating and bleeding to get those damn 4 little bolts that hold the backing plate off. they were rusted in solid. now I just have to wait for the swap kit to arrive and wait for some more pennies to pile up to buy the new rotors and brake lines so I can get the disc swap done. I am going to use the calipers off of my current front axle. thanks to you guys and all the info here I actually figured it out. I have no experience working on anything like this.
all that's left after that is to re-locate the spring perches and shock mounts. but I can't weld, so I am going to have to take it somewhere to get that done. I am thinking that something as important as an axle is a bad time to learn how to weld.
I am going to try a friend first and see if he can do it, but he doesn't do much automotive stuff. might have to wander around and see if I can find some place around Southwest Missouri that can do it.

I find myself with the same thought on my project. I accomplish something that I'm proud of but there's no one to boast to. My wife doesn't really care and I don't want to post on here since this is where I learned to do what ever it is I just accomplished. So, good for you for posting up your progress.
