My 15 year old just drug home his first parts rig! Well, I should say I drug it home for him he steered the parts truck on the end of the strap.

We took a 15mile trip to the shop with it. Right side ball joints are shot and the tire was leaning in. The same brake is locked up so he had his hands full trying to steer it!:haha: Halfway home the damn hub was so hot we had to stop and take a brake and the only thing we could really do to help cool it off was biological. I aint takin that tire off!!!:haha:

Gotta get him a membership on here now so you guys can rib him a bit for me! Oh, and educate him as well.:haha:

Not sure on the screen name. He hasn't decided on one as of yet. I'll try and get some pics up of his project rig and the parts bomber we just drug home.

We're not building anything radical. Somewhat of a mall crawler so to speak. Nice looking, dependable, affordable rig is the goal. It's actually kind of bizarre to me too think, Nah, you don't need that heavy friggin thing on there! Keep it lite and simple. Unarmored diffs is very bizarre!

Based on the story, I'd say his screen name should be:

YoungPisser

Way to be honest I guess. ;)

He read this post and laughed about it, he knows its true.

His project rig is a mid 80's Chevy shortbox. Basically a bare frame and body right now. Good way to start. Somebody spent some time on the frame. It has been blasted and por15'd I think. It's a glossy black anyway. Nice looking job. Has a weld in frame brace under the steering box that has been feathered in. Looks nice.

I'll let him tell you the game plan when we get him signed up.

Do It to it. I am sure some of us would like to see the work of a master fabricators son.
